It's an honor to be part of the Corporate Wellness Program for the City of Maple Valley! Over the past four years, I have taught a monthly yoga class for employees to attend, which has been such a great way to incorporate movement and mindfulness into the middle of a busy workday! Congratulations on winning the 2026 Golden Apple Award at the AWC Healthy Worksite Summit in recognition of your robust Wellness Program! I was able to attend an amazing yoga class this week at St. Marks Cathedral. Yoga fills my cup in SO many ways and this class was such a gift! My friend said it best...
"Yoga in that big cathedral with all those people was incredible. It really does something for me when large groups of strangers work in harmony. There is so much contention and fear and violence and hardship. For an hour last night we all just rolled out a yoga mats and moved our bodies and breathed. We didn’t have to talk about world problems. We can work with an intention to take care of our bodies and put something lovely back out there. I have always been attracted to a good cause. Lately it’s been the cause of peace and this yoga practice was just that."
