I'll be partnering up with The Beacon at Mapleton and taking a fresh round of "Senior Photos" this spring, and I need your help! 📸

I'm looking for a few creative, and compassionate individuals to help us give the residents an experience they cherish forever. 🌟

We're currently in search of:

💇‍♀️ hair stylist - basic styling for 14 adult men and women
💄makeup artist - experience working with older adults preferred
👕 Clothing donations - Gently used clothing items ranging in sizes Med-Large for both men & women - these items can be dropped off at The Beacon in Mapleton during their business house.
*(our date is tentatively the afternoon of Monday, May 18th)

I've been thinking about this idea for a while, and I've seen first hand how impactful a professional photoshoot can be. 🩷 Everyone deserves to experience feeling like the main focus, we're working on making it happen.

Who else remembers those special evenings where you’d turn the living room into your own little movie theater? Blankets over the windows to make it extra dark, a plate full of snacks ready to go, and everyone snuggled in waiting for the movie to start. Those were the best kind of nights!

Today, we’re bringing those same cozy memories to life as we turned our space into a movie theater for our residents to enjoy — complete with snacks, fun lights, pop, and blankets 😊 Happy Friday to all!

Our residents spent the week celebrating love, friendship, and the joy of being together. From festive activities and creative crafts to sweet treats and lots of laughter, the smiles said it all. Thank you Moments Hospice for stopping by with snacks- they LOVED it 💕❤️💌

We planned a Snow Week to keep our spirits high as we trudge along through winter!💙

This past week was packed with fun as we celebrated our Snow Week in style. From music entertainment to a friendly snowman building competition; there was never a dull moment. ☃️

Of course, no winter celebration is complete without a hot chocolate bar. And to make the week extra special, each of our residents was crowned a snow week king or queen - because royalty deserves to be celebrated. 👑

Wow! This week has been jam packed with festivities!

A trip to Kiwanis lights, music therapy, a visit from Maple River Choir, BINGO, and lots of holiday cheer.

And finally, our resident Christmas Party! We enjoyed some live music, had cheesecake and Grinch punch, got special T-shirts delivered by Santa, opened presents, and finished off the afternoon with a happy hour! 🎄🎅

Look who came to visit today! Santa! He brought each resident a special gift, donated crafts for us to do during this holiday season, and even had Mrs Clause make us all cookies 🍪🎁🎄what a fun morning we’ve had! Big thank you to Santa for fitting us into his busy schedule ❤️
