The Maplewood Minnesota Public Safety recently put on a Santa Parade through town, which included lights, sirens, and Santa riding in a fire engine! 🚔🚒🎅 One of their stops was Ecumen Lakeview Commons, and our lobby was packed with spectators peeking out the front windows! 👀🤩 Thanks for the fun, MPSD!

Traditions are extra special during the holiday season. At Ecumen Lakeview Commons, one of our favorite traditions is our annual Christmas Tea. ☕️🎄🫖 (And, it's a tradition to share our story of the tradition!)

It started several years ago when a resident whose birthday was in December requested an old-fashioned Christmas Tea to celebrate. It was so much enjoyed that we have continued the tradition each year.

We pull out the fine China, offer an array of hot teas and cookies, and Life Enrichment Assistant, Wendy, reads aloud “A Cup of Christmas Tea” by Tom Hegg.

Whatever and with whomever you are celebrating this holiday season—warm greetings to you, friends. 😌✨

Blast from the past! 💥🤩 Lenae was formerly a vendor at Ecumen Lakeview Commons (she taught a wellness class)—fast forward a few years, and she reconnected with us to volunteer with her cute kiddos!

Our holiday party was full of Santa magic and holiday cheer! 🎅✨

Not pictured 📸 (because we were too busy enjoying ourselves!) but deserving of a shoutout:

⭐️ The amazing hors d'oeuvres spread, desserts, and seasonal beverages (including grasshoppers and a hot cocoa bar) courtesy of Layna and the Dining Services team!

⭐️ Live music and a holiday sing-along led by the wonderfully talented pianist, and our friend, Elliot.
