Transitioning back to school can be challenging for all kids. Here are some easy tips and tricks to help incorporate PT activities into your child's daily routines to make it less daunting with more school demands:
✨ Morning Boost – Try animal walks (bear, crab, or frog jumps) on the way to breakfast for a fun warm-up!
✨ Backpack Check – Keep backpacks under 10–15% of body weight. Encourage two-shoulder carrying for better posture.
✨ Brain Breaks – Use short movement breaks during homework (wall sits, chair push-ups, or stretching).
✨ Getting Ready Fun – Turn dressing time into balance practice (standing on one foot while putting on socks).
✨ Playtime Counts – Encourage playground time! Climbing, swinging, and jumping are great for strength and coordination.
✨ Evening Wind-Down – Do calming stretches or yoga poses together before bed.
