As the leaves fall and the nights grow longer, it can be easy to get stuck in a place of grind or die. Especially for women. We typically tend to carry a lot more responsibility and in turn, stress.
Sometimes it unleashes itself in a good Netflix cry.
Other times it looks like the bottom of a tray of cookies.
Regardless, we take on a lot.
Women are also prone to dealing with misdiagnosed pain, anxiety and even heart attacks (yeah.) so getting a handle on that mental load is a must.
That can look like a lot of different things to different people.
It can be an ongoing journal, allowing your stress to spill onto the page.
It can look like a session with a therapist who understands you.
It can be practicing mindful breathwork to ground yourself.
Whatever it looks like to you, now is the time to focus on that. We’re heading into holiday season. And while ‘joy’ may be the word of the day, to a lot of us it comes with, at least, a shred of dread: Added priorities. New responsibilities. And the desire to create a “perfect” holiday. For our families. For our friends. For ourselves.
Let this be a mantra: perfect doesn’t exist. There’s simply finding happiness in your life.
