Did you have significant bloodloss in the delivery room? A good way to help support red blood cells that bind oxygen to hemoglobin is to supplement with iron, another good way is this blood builder smoothie! A little earthy to the taste but it has been so helpful in my healing process! This is also a great way to rebuild blood after donating if you're an avid donator!

3 boiled or roasted beets
1 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon molasses
1 handful of baby spinach
1/4 cup blueberries or cherries fresh or frozen
1 cup water or ice

Blend until smooth. Makes two servings. Second serving can be stored in refrigerator.

Side note- I stir in a scoop of collagen peptide protein, because, well, I have a healing incision and it supports healthy skin-so why not? It also adds 10g of lean protein!
