Activity: Decorating Easter Eggs

Story: Nothing makes you feel young again quite like decorating Easter Eggs with spunky little Pre School & Kindergarten aged children! Our Residents and kiddos from the Fr. McCartan Memorial School got their creative juices flowing with real and fake eggs to decorate together!! We combined the old school vinegar & dye method with a new EGG-citing spinning decorator that was a HIT for all ages!! It's a beautiful things to watch these genertations share laughs, smiles and stories! We are so greatful for their visits every month! It reminds us that you are never to old for some creative fun!!🥰

🍀 2nd Annual St. Paddy's Day Pub Crawl! -Pioneer Style😁

Started the day hunting 100 leprechauns & 80 well hidden gold coins!🪙 Then traveled the building from Pub to Pub for all the Irish fun!🇮🇪🍀

🥳ENORMOUS thank you to everyone who spent their time & hard earned money to make treats, give out fun things & have a great time together with our Residents! 💝

*Shout out to Lindsey Ewigman @ Marceline Mercantile for borrowing the Human Slot Machine game to us!! So fun!🎰

*Shout out to all who bid on our cute St. Paddy's lap quilt & to the winner Tyson Brammer for his generous donation to the Activity Department! 😘

Activity: Ice Cream Outing on a BEAUTIFUL day!☀️
We enjoyed a great outing Monday when it was sunny & 80!
Headed straight to the local ice cream shop for a scoop or two and a little bit of scenic drive!! 🍨🍦

Story: Getting out and about is so important for our mental & emotional health! Feeling the wind in our hair, seeing the birds flitting about and seeing flowers starting to poke through the ground all are mood boosters! 🌷🌻

Activity: Church/Hymn Singing

Story: Spiritual wellness covers so many facets of our wellbeing. One of those is connecting with each other through prayer, music & devotion. All our Residents sing, clap, smile and rejoice together & connections are built. You can witness bonds being formed and it's simply beautiful! Thank you to our many groups/churches/individuals who pour into our cups and help fullfill our spiritual needs. 🥰

Story: Recalling the leaders of our country who shaped the world we live in today and reminiscing over the scandals, the famous quotes & their first ladies sparked memories of where residents were in their lives during that time and what changes they've seen since then. The wealth of knowledge and information our Resident's educate you on is incredible if you just spark the memory & listen!😁😍

Oh! The Love that filled the air was EXTRA special today as we celebrated Valentine's Day with our Residents with a special lunch of Steak, Baked potato and Cheesecake accompanied with a choice of a white or red wine! 🍷🥂

After that delicious meal, our ears were tantilized with the sounds of great tunes from the Music Doctors to help us celebrate our Valentine's Day King & Queen!🤴👸

🥰Love fills our home every day, but we enjoy giving it a little extra on Valentine's!
