Recovery DBT

Recovery DBT Psychiatric Mental Health Care & Licensed Professional Counselors in Marietta, GA The 7-week program has a great track record of success.

Recovery DBT is an outstanding mental health resource for those in and around Marietta, Georgia, who want to create meaningful improvements in their daily quality of life. Under the leadership of Iain Halstead, LCSW, the team at Recovery DBT offers a range of services designed to assist patients as they navigate their way to enhanced mental health. Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a form of psychotherapy, commonly called “talk therapy.” The approach is similar to cognitive behavioral therapy but tailored to help people who tend to experience emotions more intensely than most. The practice offers support to people experiencing eating disorders, borderline personality disorder, self-harm, and suicidality. Many people turn to Recovery DBT after numerous attempts to find relief from mental health challenges. The practice also offers an intensive outpatient program for those who are ready to dedicate themselves to achieving measurable improvements in how they feel and function each day. What works for one person won’t always work for the next, but dialectical behavior therapy is an option that helps many people find lasting relief from serious mental health issues and go on to live active, productive, and fulfilling lives. Residents of Marietta, Georgia, who are ready to try a new approach to mental health and wellness should set up a time to come in and meet the Recovery DBT team. Booking options include a simple phone call or a visit to the online scheduling page.

Many people learn to cope by keeping everything inside.

Over time, this can feel isolating, especially when things get heavy.

Asking for help takes courage. It requires awareness, honesty, and trust. That makes it a skill, not a weakness.

If you are struggling, you do not have to carry it alone.

Support is available, and reaching out is a valid first step. We believe in you taking that first step.

It is easy to feel like you should be doing better, moving faster, or handling things differently.

But healing is not a race. Growth takes time, and progress often happens in small steps that are not always obvious in the moment.

You do not need to have everything figured out right now. You are allowed to take things one day at a time.

If today feels heavy, let it be a day for gentleness.

Save this for the days you need the reminder.

is a structured, skills-based approach designed to support people who experience emotions intensely and want practical tools to cope more effectively.

What makes DBT different is that it focuses on building real skills that can be practiced and strengthened over time.

Rather than relying only on insight or conversation, DBT teaches specific strategies for managing distress, regulating emotions, and navigating relationships.

Structure matters because it creates consistency. And consistency can create a sense of safety.

Struggling can be exhausting, especially when it feels like you should be coping better.

But hard days are not a sign that you’re failing. Progress is rarely neat or predictable, and it’s normal for things to feel lighter one day and heavier the next.

You don’t have to have everything figured out right now. You don’t have to push yourself beyond what you can manage.

If today feels hard, that’s okay.
Be gentle with yourself.

Save this for the moments you need a quiet reminder.
