INSTALLING Litokol® Starlike® Easy EPOXY GROUT IS EASY!
And if you do it right, the results are incredible.

Start by opening the pail and removing the instruction booklet and the bag of liquid catalyst. Recover any resin paste from the plastic separator lid back into the pail. Snip a corner of the catalyst bag and slowly roll the bag as you pour the entire contents into the resin. Using a mixing wand on a low-speed drill, blend the two components thoroughly until fully mixed.

Once mixed, you have about 60 minutes of working time, so be ready to apply and clean. Apply the grout evenly using a green epoxy rubber float, making sure joints are fully packed. If you’re adding a Starlike® Finishes product as a third component, only add it after the epoxy base is completely mixed.

Cleanup starts immediately using plenty of clean water and a white scrub pad to break the bond between the grout and tile surface. Gently scrub in circular motions until a milky emulsion forms. Then remove the residue using a damp, well-wrung yellow pro sweepex sponge, using only one side per swipe to avoid grout haze and leave the surface clean and uniform.

If you want flawless joints, zero haze, and maximum performance, technique matters. Let’s break this down the right way. Here’s how to properly apply Litokol® Starlike® EVO epoxy grout.

🔹 STEP 1 - OPEN & PREP

Open the pail and remove:

Scrape any resin paste from the separator lid back into the pail. That material is part of your mix - don’t waste it.

🔹 STEP 2 - ADD THE CATALYST

Using a mixing wand attached to a drill, blend the two components at low speed until fully incorporated.

⏱ You now have approximately 60 minutes of working time, so stay organized.

If you’re incorporating a Starlike® Finishes additive, always mix the epoxy base completely FIRST, then blend in your third component.

Precision = performance.

🔹 STEP 3 - GROUT APPLICATION

Once tile is properly set with the correct trowel and coverage, begin grouting.

Apply Starlike® EVO directly onto the tile surface and spread evenly using a green epoxy rubber float.

✔️ Work diagonally across joints
✔️ Fully pack every grout line
✔️ Remove excess material from the surface

No shortcuts.

🔹 STEP 4 - CLEANUP (THIS IS CRITICAL)

Cleanup starts immediately.

1️⃣ Use plenty of clean water and a white scrub pad
2️⃣ Gently scrub in circular motions
3️⃣ Continue until the surface feels slick - almost lubricated
This creates a milky emulsion.
4️⃣ Remove the emulsion using a damp, well wrung-out yellow pro sweepex sponge
5️⃣ Use one side per swipe to prevent redepositing residue and creating haze
Done correctly, you’ll have clean joints and a pristine surface.
