In 1741, Dr. Nicholas Andry created an image to illustrate his methods for correcting childhood deformities. The image now known as the “Tree of Andry” symbolizes "how support and guidance help a crooked form grow straight and true.” The tree now represents the broader field of orthopaedics. If you have been to our Marietta office, you have seen this glass interpretation of this tree. We are proud of this artwork and even more proud of the profession that it represents!
