Everyone deserves a supported death. My plan is to follow Humane Prison Hospice Project lead. I have planted some seeds. In the future I will create a program and curriculum to teach individuals who are incarcerated how to care for their fellow inmates who are at end of life.

Light The Way had our first event! We had a circle full of curious people. We opened up the conversation to whoever wanted to share. I am so grateful that we showed up, so curious and vulnerable. There were tears and laughter and connection.

There seems to be a craving for a safe space to bring up thoughts about death and dying, I want to support that. If you have a physical space that you would like to fill with an event that brings community around end of life and grief, please feel free to connect with me.

There are so many options of creating a more natural space in a sterile environment, such as a hospitals. If there is interest, I will create a longer post or blog :)
