Dr. Corgan is a graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois. He currently holds an optometry license in both Michigan and Wisconsin. He has been certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry for the treatment and management of ocular disease. He is also a member of the American Optometric Association. Corgan Vision Clinic will be closed tomorrow, March 17th 2026. Please stay safe and allow the city workers time to clear the roads. We want staff and patients to be able to safely make it into the clinic.
We will have staff call to reschedule all patients that were scheduled for today and tomorrow on Wednesday.

Rest assured, Miles is enjoying his time away from the office and experiencing Snowmageddon 2026. We suspect he misses all the attention from patients though. ❄️

We can hardly believe that Thanksgiving is next week 👀.
The CVC staff is thankful for all of YOU who have supported the clinic throughout the year!

We will be closed both Thursday, November 27th and Friday, November 28th. 🦃

We will reopen for our regular business hours Monday, December 1st.

It's not always about Miles...😄

Today, the CVC team got to meet a baby kangaroo named Gerald. Thank you to the patient who brought Gerald in and let us all fawn over him.
You really never know what will happen here at the clinic! 🦘🤓

This past weekend, Miles took some human friends for a walk through a field of Ragweed (check out the pollen on those paws👀). This prompted his friends to suffer some severe symptoms of eye allergies.
For some, spring and fall are typically when allergic conjunctivitis symptoms are felt the most.

Symptoms include:
-Redness
-Itchy & watery eyes
-Burning sensation
-Swelling of the eyelids and the area around the eyes
-Sensitivity to light
-Possible blurred vision

Unfortunately, oral allergy medication is typically not strong enough for our eyes to benefit from it. Dr. Corgan suggests taking an allergy eye drop, such as Zaditor or Pataday, about 2 weeks before you think allergy season starts for you.
If you missed the boat on that, start taking the drops now and keep in mind that it can take the drops 10-14 days to show any benefits. Dont give up - use those drops!
Continue using the eye drops for about a 1 - 1.5 months to get through the allergy season.
Dont be like Miles' human friends and get caught unprepared!
