Leslie Shontel Davis, a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away peacfully on January 10, 2026, at the age of 48, after a courageous battle with brain cancer at Pointe Coupee General Hospital. surrounded by her loved ones. A Baton Rouge native, Leslie was born on August 8, 1977, and was educated in the West Feliciana Parish School System. She excelled in both athletics and music, running track, playing basketball, and proudly performing in the school band as a clarinetist. Leslie graduated in 1995 and continued her education at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette on a track scholarship, earning a degree in Criminal Justice in 2000.
At a very early age, Leslie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized by Rev. Gilmore at St. Paul #1 Baptist Church in Weyanoke, Louisiana. Faith was guiding force in her life, and she lived with grace and compassion. Family was the center of Leslie life and she shared a deep and enduring bond with those she loved. Known for her infectious smile, gentle spirit, and the ability to make everyone feel welcome, she brought joy and laughter wherever she went. She loved to dance, and her warm heart left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Leslie dedicated 25 years to FedEx, where her professionalism, hard work, and friendly nature earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike.
She was the beloved wife of Keishonda Hartford-Davis. Together, they shared six beautiful years, including three years of marriage, building a life filled with love, companionship, and treasured memories.
A devoted mother and stepmother, Leslie nurtured seven children Terence, Keilan, Kameron, Keagan, Kaylyn, and Anireya with unwavering love. She was also a proud and loving grandmother to two grandchildren, Amoura and Amazi, creating a home filled with care, laughter, and lasting memories for her blended family.

Katelyn Dailey. and Anireya Hartford; her mother Dorothy (Joseph) Mcquirter of Solitude, Louisiana; her three sisters, Shawanda (Charlie) Dixon of Walker, Louisiana; Latoya (Snerling) of St. Francisville, Louisiana; and Otessa Wilson of St. Francisvill, Louisiana:; her six brothers, Carlos Wilson of St. Francisville, Louisiana; Dequincy (Lauric) Wilson of Zachary, Louisiana; Frankie (Glenda) Dorscy of Baker, Louisiana; Justin (Erica) Wilson of Slaughter. Louisiana; Otis Wilson Jr. of Austin, Texas; and her brother-in-law, Marquis (Karol) Franklin Sr. of Lake Charles, Louisiana; her sister-in-law, Keierra Thomas of Hawaii; five uncles, Kenny (Betty) Davis of Clinton, Louisiana: Alvin (Sally) Davis; Milton (Linda) Davis of Weyanoke, Louisiana; Wendell (Cynthia) Davis of Kenner, Louisiana; and Richard (Shirley) Whitaker of Zachary. Louisiana; one aunt, Delores of Weyanoke, Louisiana; and her godmother, Shirley Ginyard of Weyanoke, Louisiana; close friends Sophia Castille, Tosha Materre, Elicia Julian, Albert Northern and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones who will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Mary Davis; her grandmothers, Nettie Davis and Velma Whitaker; and her grandfathers, Eddie Davis and Elvin Davis. Leslie's warmth> generosity, faith, and spirit will be deeply missed, but she wil be fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched!
