Water and Wastewater Utility Company Our service area includes parts of Guadalupe, Comal, and Bexar Counties. Hedwig, New Berlin, Seguin, and New Braunfels.

For more than 58 years, and from 50 customers to 14,000, our goal has always been to provide our customers with superior drinking water and outstanding service. In addition, that 145,000 square mile (93,000 acres) encompasses portions of the city limits and extraterritorial jurisdictions of Santa Clara, Schertz, Cibolo, Garden Ridge, St. As we interact with ratepayers on social media, we are committed to providing clear, transparent, and concise communication, keeping our customers' concerns a top priority. 📣 Effective Monday, November 17, 2025, Green Valley Special Utility District (GVSUD) will begin rounding all cash payment totals to the nearest nickel. This change is necessary due to the U.S. Mint’s discontinuation of penny production and the resulting shortage of pennies in circulation.

What This Means for You

• Applies only to cash payments that are NOT exact change.

• Electronic payments, checks, and other non-cash methods will not be affected.

• Customers paying in cash can choose to round up or down.

• Rounding down will NOT result in a past-due charge or disconnection.

Example
If your bill is $50.12, you may:
Pay $50.15 → credit of $0.03
Pay $50.10 → balance of $0.02 (rolls over without additional fees)

Additional Information

• Pennies will still be accepted if paying with exact change.

• For convenience, consider setting up automatic payments or paying online at gvsud.org.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we make this transition smooth for all customers.

A friendly reminder that FOG (fats, oils, and grease) belong in the trash, not down the drain. FOG clogs pipes inside our homes and outside in our sewer system. Protect your home and our water systems: (1) pour FOG into an empty jar or can (2) allow it to cool and solidify (3) throw it in the trash

Cheers to our incredible teammates that were recognized at the October 30, 2025, Board Meeting.

Jordan Collazo, Warehouse/Purchasing Supervisor along with Shanee Perkins, Warehouse Clerk, were recognized for their work organizing our inventory inside the warehouse and the yard. This effort included modernizing our inventory processes.

Billing Supervisor Brittany Bridges was recognized for creating efficiencies in the billing system. We appreciate their dedication to our vision - Clean Water, Reliable People, Superior Service.

We hope the community and the customers of Green Valley SUD have a safe and spook-tacular Halloween! We were grateful to be invited to be part of the St. John’s Lutheran Church Truck or Treat. Our hard-working team took some time this beautiful afternoon to have some fun handing out candy, coloring books and a few water saving tips.
