🌟 Scouts + Conservation = A Cleaner, Greener Texas! 🌟
We’re excited to share this awesome opportunity showing how Scouts can earn a special patch while helping keep the Green Valley region—and all of Texas—beautiful! 💚✨

At Green Valley SUD, we know that protecting our natural resources starts long before water enters our system. When young leaders step up to remove litter, care for the land, and support conservation projects, they’re helping safeguard the very watersheds and environments that keep our drinking water clean, pure, and sustainable. 💧🌎

Scouting and water stewardship go hand in hand. The values of responsibility, service, and respect for the outdoors perfectly reflect our mission to provide reliable, sustainable, clean water through innovative, professional service.
So here’s a big shout‑out to all the Scouts doing their part—you’re helping protect the future of our water, our community, and our beautiful Texas home. Keep up the great work! 👏💙

Calling all Scouts! 🌟 You can earn a patch while doing your part to keep our state beautiful and learning about conservation. 🌳🏅 Learn more here 👉 https://ow.ly/x6BM50YoPgF

💧 It’s National Groundwater Awareness Week! 💧
Did you know that Green Valley Special Utility District’s drinking water comes from some of Texas’ most important aquifers? Our local wells draw from the Edwards Aquifer and the Trinity Aquifer, providing a vital groundwater supply for our growing communities. We also supplement our system with additional groundwater from Wells Ranch and surface water from Lake Dunlap, delivered through the Canyon Regional Water Authority.
Groundwater is a precious, invisible resource—and protecting it ensures clean, reliable water for families across the Green Valley service area. This week, we celebrate the science behind our water and the aquifers that keep our taps flowing. 🌍💙

It’s National Groundwater Awareness Week! that in Texas, 9 major aquifers and 22 minor aquifers supply approximately 55% of all the water 💧 used in the state? Learn more about groundwater in Texas at https://bit.ly/TexasAquifers.

Green Valley SUD was honored to support Seguin Little League as they kicked off their 2026 Spring Ball season! The energy, excitement, and community pride were felt throughout the ballpark as families and players celebrated the start of a great season. ⚾💙

Before the games began, players recited the Little League Pledge:
“I trust in God.
I love my country and will respect its laws.
I will play fair and strive to win.
But win or lose, I will always do my best.”

Hearing the pledge — a reminder of fairness, character, teamwork, and respect — perfectly captured the heart of Seguin Little League.

Green Valley SUD is proud to support organizations that strengthen and uplift our community. Our mission focuses on providing reliable water service, protecting vital resources, and serving with integrity and responsibility — values that align beautifully with the spirit of youth sports.

Here’s to a season filled with teamwork, growth, and unforgettable memories. Now let’s play ball, Seguin! ⚾🌱💧

The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) tracks drought conditions across the state using tools like the Water Data for Texas dashboards and regular water‑condition reports. Their monitoring includes reservoir levels, groundwater trends, streamflows, and statewide drought indices. This data helps us know when to activate conservation measures and adjust watering restrictions. We encourage our customers to review and utilize this data.

TWDB’s Water Weekly: The latest drought map for conditions as of February 10 shows drought has reached its largest extent since October 2023. Over the last week, drought has expanded or intensified in north-central, eastern, and southern Texas. A quarter of the state remains abnormally dry and susceptible to drought in coming weeks. https://bit.ly/TexasWaterWeekly
