It’s been a fun and busy week- we wanted to share some pictures with you. Avera came and hosted a veterans Day program for our residents. Our veterans received a plaque, a certificate, and a pinning was held. We enjoyed listening to a speaker, singing, and watched a PowerPoint. Thank you to our local veterans for coming and doing the pinning. Thank you to Avera for hosting the program.

Today we were able to send the FMFA Phoenix team off to their state football game. Even though some thought it was cold out, residents went out to cheer them on while others watched inside. We hope they enjoyed the several signs throughout the building to cheer them on. Thank you for driving by. Good luck tonight!!

Lastly, don’t forget to be looking for the turkey in town. The winner who finds it will win the fixings for a Thanksgiving meal.

Today, we honor the brave men and women among our residents who are Veterans. Your courage, sacrifice, and dedication have helped preserve the freedoms we cherish every day. We are deeply grateful for your service and proud to have you as part of our community. Thank you for your strength, your stories, and your example. We are grateful for you Rodney, Leroy, Dean, Ralph, Dwight, Jim, Merlin, Verle, Joan, Richard, and Dick. (not pictured Steven)

What a great Halloween and a busy Friday. We celebrated Halloween by dressing up, taking fun photos, Halloween treats and a party, and ending the day seeing lots of trick or treaters. Job welll done activities department and all staff who helped make the day a great one. Smiles all day long.

Thank you volunteers for helping throughout the day in so many areas. We so appreciate all of you!!!

Thank you families for providing candy for your loved one to hand out candy.

WOW- we never thought we would get the coloring pages that we did. We had over 75 coloring sheets turned in. The youngest being 2 and the oldest 79. It sure brought smiles to the residents faces along with the workers. It was fun to see so much creativity.

Thank you for taking time to vote for the anything but pumpkin contest held by staff. Winners Included the caramel apple made by Jen M and Violet by Teya.

Thank you fourth graders for coming and visiting with the residents during our adopt a grandparent activity. They also played get to know each other BINGO.

We are so thankful for our community and the activities we can do together. Please be watching for the November community involvement.

October is Physical Therapy Month!

We are grateful for our team of Shelly Wieman, PTA/Facility Lead and Joe from Prairie Rehabilitation who take care of our residents and patients from our community.
Our therapists see outpatients of all ages. They work closely with you to achieve the therapy goals set by you and your physician so you can return to your normal daily activities as soon as possible.

Staff had the chance to create something out of a pumpkin. Please take time to vote for your favorite “anything but a pumpkin.” You can either comment the number below or like the picture. Voting ends Friday morning at 7. Winner announced that afternoon.

*Dont forget to trick or treat at TMH on Friday from 4-5 pm in the chapel. Residents are excited to hand out candy.
