A Day of Celebration at Capitol Station! ✨

Today, United Church Homes gathered with community leaders, residents and project partners to officially bless and celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of Capitol Station — marking the completion of a major renovation and housing preservation effort that will positively impact older adults in Indianapolis for years to come.

The project represents a $120,000-per-apartment renovation, completed through a successful RAD for PRAC (Rental Assistance Demonstration for Project Rental Assistance Contract) conversion. Thanks to this effort, 50 affordable apartments for low-income older adults have been both preserved and modernized, securing long-term housing affordability in Indianapolis.

Guests gathered for remarks, ribbon-cutting, prayer and refreshments before touring the beautifully renovated apartments.

What an incredible day of progress, partnership and community! 💙
