I am so excited to have had the opportunity to partner with Family Refuge Center of Southwest Virginia, Pure Life Counseling and Testing, and Emory & Henry University to promote Self-Care!

We provided sweet treats and Self-Care goody bags to students on campus. Thank you to everyone who stopped by! It was so amazing to be able to interact with the staff and students at Emory & Henry and I am happy to be a community support for you all!

If you’ve ever wondered where Pure Life originated from, it was a seed planted about five years ago during a trip to appreciate the culture and beauty of Costa Rica. Pura Vida is a lifestyle in Costa Rica and translates to Pure Life. The saying may mean something different to people that use it but it is often used to represent gratitude, adventure, positivity and excitement. During a long week, long day, long moment, try taking a second to say, “Pura Vida” and focus on a moment of peace.

Shelby believes life is based on finding meaning and purpose rooted in a core value system. Counseling sessions with Shelby will be focused on providing clarity, purpose and direction in the lives of clients. Shelby also offers a variety of in-depth psychological evaluations.

Shelby is trained in trauma informed treatment. Shelby utilizes a comprehensive set of skills to address unique challenges that clients are faced with. Shelby is passionate about servicing those who are grieving, experiencing life changes and open to somatic processing and nature based interventions.

Shelby invites clients invested in a journey of self-exploration, self-awareness and growth to reach out about scheduling a session.
