👏 Congratulations, Zoe Sage!
We’re proud to recognize Zoe as the Marion Senior High School recipient of the 2025 Tom Burkett Educational Scholarship.

Zoe plans to pursue a degree in Elementary Education and currently holds an impressive 4.383 GPA. She’s served as a class officer all four years of high school, been part of SCA, BETA Club, and Hurricanes for Christ — all while balancing two jobs as an afterschool teacher’s aide and a lifeguard.

Zoe’s heart for service shines through more than 50 hours of community work helping children, the elderly, and those in need.

Your dedication to education, leadership, and service truly embodies what it means to be ! 💪💙

The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) and the Virginia Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (VASFAA) have partnered to offer two free Introduction to Financial Aid Webinars for students and families.

These sessions will cover:
Federal financial aid and the FAFSA process
State financial aid programs, including the VASA application
Application tips to maximize aid opportunities
Live Q&A with financial aid professionals

We want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who made our College Fair such a success last night! Oak Point Elementary hosted our event at their beautiful school, we had a great turn out of students and their families learning about college & scholarship opportunities, and The Lucky Few Meal Prep made delicious food for the admissions reps! It was a great evening for Smyth County high schools! 🎉
