This week we celebrate our Radiologic Technologists.

National Radiologic Technology Week is celebrated the week of Nov 8th, every year. This commemorates the discovery of X-rays by Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen on this date in 1895.

A big thank you to our medical imaging staff for their contributions to patient care and safety. Without the expertise of these individuals and their craft, providers would be lacking an important tool in diagnosing patient’s ailments and injuries.

Each member of our team offers a wide array of expertise. This allows St. Luke to offer a wide range of services, especially for a critical access hospital. Services offered by our team include: X-ray, CT, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, DEXA, Ultrasound, and MRI.

🌟 Excellence in Person-Centered Care! 🌟

A few members of the St. Luke Hospital and Living Center team had the honor of attending the annual PEAK Conference in Manhattan this month — and we’re proud to share that our team received the Level 7 PEAK Award! 🏆

The PEAK program celebrates excellence in person-centered care, recognizing organizations that go above and beyond to ensure every resident is valued, respected, and cared for as an individual.

This achievement reflects the dedication, compassion, and daily commitment our Living Center staff show to residents each and every day. 💙

Congratulations to our incredible team for continuing to raise the bar in quality care and making St. Luke a place our residents are proud to call home! 🏡✨

🦴✨ Today is World Osteoporosis Day ✨🦴

Osteoporosis is often called the “silent disease” because bone loss can occur without symptoms—until a fracture happens. The good news is that with early detection, healthy lifestyle choices, and proper care, you can reduce your risk. 💪

At St. Luke Hospital, we encourage everyone to take steps for strong bones:
✅ Get enough calcium & vitamin D
✅ Stay active with weight-bearing exercise
✅ Avoid smoking & limit alcohol
✅ Talk to your provider about screenings

Let’s work together for a future where fewer fractures and stronger bones are possible. 💙

🏥💥Happy St. Luke Week💥🏥
Because we are so much more than just a hospital, we choose to celebrate our employees and their dedication to healing our communities during the week that includes the Feast of Saint Luke. We like to honor and remember where our facility name came from. Luke the Evangelist, who authored the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles, is known as the patron saint of doctors, surgeons, medical professionals, and interestingly enough...painters. Just like the kind of person described in "The Parable of the Good Samaritan" from the Gospel of Luke, he was a missionary dedicated to his work as a physician and helping people.
We would like to welcome you to help us recognize ALL of our staff this week. From doctors and nurses, to billers and housekeepers, it takes so much passion and commitment to provide the type of care that we are so proud of in our small part of the world. While you are out and about or the next time you are in, we encourage you to pass on a friendly "thank you" to the staff that you see making all the ends meet. You may never know how much that small gesture might mean at the end of a tough day of fighting for our patients.
If you would like to celebrate Saint Luke Week yourself, you can go see your doctor for a routine check up or do a little extra care for your health. Others, use this time to read "The Parable of the Good Samaritan" and dedicate time to get out and do something nice for those in need. Because Saint Luke was a writer and painter, you could do something to bring out your creative side.🎨🎭✝
