Our Manor “Sweat Shop” (sewing/quilting group) continue to stay busy! In the past they have focused on making quilts for our Health Center beds and have donated over 250! Now they are branching out to meet more resident needs. Last week they donated 23 clothing protectors, 3 lap blankets for wheelchair residents, and 3 accessory bags for walkers. They plan to donate 70 more Christmas-themed clothing protectors by the end of November. They just keep their sewing machines humming along! Thank you, ladies, for your servant hearts!

Beautiful fall days are perfect for getting out to sightsee! Our residents took advantage of one of these beautiful fall days to visit the lookout point at Cape Fair. Along for the ride was a sweet pet therapy dog Eva and her trainer from Pet Therapy of the Ozarks. What a great day to celebrate life together!

We put together some fun gift basket donations for the Aurora Chamber of Commerce “Prize-A-Palooza” event and the Marionville Friends of the Library Christmas Open House & Silent Auction. Tomorrow is Thursday, and The Manor Thrift Store will be open for your shopping pleasure! This week we have a doggie stroller, doggie ramp, a footstool, body pillow, luggage, punch bowl, hats, gloves and scarfs and a lot of Christmas items.
