Richard Lee Middleton, 59, of Marked Tree, Arkansas departed this life on Monday, February 9, 2026, at his home. He was born on September 2, 1966, to Evelina McMasters in Rochelle, Illinois.
Richard, known by his friends as Indian Joe, loved a simple life. He enjoyed fishing, riding the back roads, and his greatest happiness came from spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren, who meant everything to him.
He is preceded in death by his step father: Charlie Kelly, brother: Ray Kelly, two sisters: Regina Kelly and Juanita Rose Middleton.
Richard is survived by his wife: Bonnie Johnson of the home, mother: Evelina Kelly of Cherry Valley, three sons: Dakota Middleton of Marked Tree, Austin Johnson of Jonesboro, and Justin Middleton of Florida, two daughters: Makayla Swaim (Tyler) of Brookland, and Brittany Porter (Joey) of Florida, brother: Jehiel Middleton, two sisters: Evadell Middleton, and Kathy Kelly, grandchildren: Ridge, Raelynn, Kaiyah, Danielle, Isaiah and Zack.
A Memorial service will be held at Delancey Funeral Home in Marked Tree on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. and visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until service time.
Brother Ricky Forbis will officiate the service.

Arthur Edward Bettis, 82, of Tyronza, Arkansas departed this life on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on July 17, 1942, to Algie and Gladys Hughes Bettis in Royal, Arkansas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Glenna Diggs (Elmer), Marvin Bettis (Alma), Opal Upton (Percy), Octavia Wagner, John Bettis (Edna), Emogene McKee (Eual, “Cokey”), Alfred Bettis (Mary Lou) and Lorene West.
Arthur is survived by his wife Carolyn Bettis, two daughters: daughter: Melissa Watson (Chuck) and Jennifer Meeks (Tim), three sons: Eddie Bettis (Lisa) and Artie Bettis (Brittany) all of Hot Springs, Tyler Bettis of Germantown, Tennessee, two step-children: Tina Sheppherd (Danny) of Earle, Arkansas and Jeff Parker (Edna) of Tyronza, Arkansas, eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one brother: Algie Bettis, Jr. (Teresa) of Proctor, Arkansas, brother in law: LA Fraley (Patty) of Tyronza, Arkansas, sister: Geraldine Lewis of Tucson, Arizona and sister-in-law: Margaret Ross of Manila.
Arthur was a proud member of the Teamsters Union and retired from Yellow Freight Trucking after numerous years. In his early career, he was a truck driver for Commercial Carriers. He was a “Mr. fix it” or “let’s see how it’s made kind of man.” He loved fishing and eating good food. An amateur pitmaster, folks would fight over his wings and steaks. Until the very end, he lived life on his own terms. He was not perfect, but was loved deeply, faults and all.
A funeral will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Marked Tree.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Marked Tree.
Burial will follow service at Lowe Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. at Royal, Arkansas.
Brother Rick Kimery will officiate the service.
A special thank you to NEA Baptist Hospital and Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.

Charles Edward Pierce, 83, of Marked Tree, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, January 15, 2026, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Charles was born January 18, 1942, in Batesville, Mississippi, to Richard Louis Pierce and Louvenia West Pierce. He enjoyed watching John Wayne westerns, football, and being in the military, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Louvenia Pierce; four brothers, Warren Pierce, Roy Pierce, Troy Pierce, and Lloyd Pierce; two sisters, Ruby Beck and Joyce Jefferys; and the love of his life, Virginia Gail Pierce-Roland.
He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Lou Pierce-Webb (Timothy) of Marked Tree, Arkansas; two sons, Robert Edward Gaddis (Regina) of Trumann, Arkansas, and Robert Lewis Pierce of Marked Tree, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be announced on Tuesday.
Burial will follow in Marked Tree Cemetery, Marked Tree, Arkansas

Paul Allen Hardin, 72, of Marked Tree, Arkansas departed this life on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at his home. Paul was born October 16, 1953 in Houston, Texas to Toby Hardin Sr and Virginia King Hardin. Paul was a cross country driver and loved driving trucks. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Toby Hardin Jr, and fur baby Bella. Paul is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kay. Sons, Shane Hardin (Christie) of Marked Tree, Arkansas and Paul Hardin (Jill) of Marked Tree, Arkansas. Daughters, Michelle Teague (Lynn) of Marked Tree, Arkansas, Amy Boles (Donny) of Alexandria, Virginia, and Elizabeth Shannon (Donald) of Harrisburg, Arkansas. Brothers Jackie Hardin of Marked Tree, Arkansas. Sisters Joanne Hardin Vinson of Houston, Texas. Eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one on the way. A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Baptist Church in Marked Tree on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. and visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. til service time.

Sharon Ann Davis, 79, of Bay, Arkansas departed this life Monday, January 5, 2026, at her home. She was born on June 15, 1946, to Joseph Wooldridge and Dora Powers Wooldridge in Strawberry, Arkansas.
Sharon found joy in the simple things, such as playing games on her phone, she loved having conversations and calling family and friends. Her nature was loving, kind and unique, she was truly one of a kind. Family was important to her and they loved her dearly. She was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Douglas McArthur Davis, three brothers: Butch Wooldridge, Michael Wooldridge and Bobby Wooldridge, and two sisters: Betty Cashion and Connie Sullivan.
Sharon is survived by her two sons: Allan Davis and his wife: Shanda of Fulton, Missouri, Scotty Davis and his wife Kimberly of Jonesboro, Arkansas, two brothers: Joey Wooldridge of Piggott, Arkansas and Donald Wooldridge of Chicago, two sisters: Vicky Wooldridge of Campbell, Missouri and Patricia Hayes and one granddaughter: Summer Cockrell of Jonesboro, Arkansas. She also leaves a host of other family and friends.
There will be no services at this time.

I am announcing my candidacy for Poinsett County Coroner.

My background has prepared me to fulfill this position and serve the county that I call home and care for so dearly.

I am currently serving as Poinsett County Chief Deputy Coroner and have been an active Deputy Coroner for 10 years in Poinsett and Mississippi Counties. I am the Owner of Delancey Funeral Homes in Marked Tree and Lepanto for 8 years and have dedicated my life as a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer for 37 years. I am certified by the great state of Arkansas as a Medicolegal Death Investigator, SUIDI (infant) Death Investigator and Aquatic Death Investigator. I am also certified by the Arkansas State Crime Lab for sample collection.

I’m proud to support and protect my community as a certified First Responder, volunteer firefighter of the Lepanto Fire Department and active Lepanto City Council board member.

I humbly ask for your vote as I seek the honor to serve as your next Poinsett County Coroner.

Charlsie Fay Garrison, 87, of Marked Tree, Arkansas departed this life on Thursday, December 11, 2025. She was born on July 26, 1938 in Marked Tree to Oscar Comstock and Edna Baser Comstock.
Charlsie was a loyal member of Black Oak Baptist Church, and loved her church family. Her family was so important to her and she found joy in each moment spent with them, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed playing golf and traveling.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Homer Garrison, her parents, three brothers: Willard, Wilford and Wilburn Comstock, one sister: Opal Armstrong and great grandson: Dalton Albert.
Charlsie is survived by one son: Charles Garrison (Belinda) of Brookland, Arkansas, one daughter: Vivian Tacker (David) of the Black Oak Community, five grandchildren: Tabitha Albert (Bryan), Randy Garrison (Jeff), Rickey Humphries (Daynicole), Candi Blagg (Kevin) and Amy Griffin (Tracy), ten great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 15, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Black Oak Baptist Church, the Black Oak Community.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Black Oak Baptist Church, the Black Oak Community.
Burial will follow service at Marked Tree Cemetery, Marked Tree, Arkansas.
Brother Mark Constant and Brother Randy Rainwater will officiate the service.
