Meet the Zoll X Series

When our crews walk into your home, this is one of the most powerful tools we bring with us.
The Zoll X Series is not just a monitor. It is a mobile critical care unit that lets us see what your heart, lungs, and circulation are doing in real time. It gives us hospital level information before we ever leave your driveway.

Heres just a snapshot of what it does so you guys know what to expect.

-It reads your heart rhythm instantly. Not just a basic pulse, but a full cardiac picture. We can identify dangerous rhythms within seconds and start treatment immediately.
-It delivers lifesaving shocks. If a heart goes into a lethal rhythm, this device becomes a defibrillator. It can possibly restore a heartbeat on scene before transport even begins.
-It monitors oxygen and breathing. We can see how well your lungs are working and how much oxygen (or anything binding to your hemoglobin) is actually reaching your bloodstream.
-It tracks blood pressures. Not just one reading, but trends. That helps us recognize shock, internal bleeding, or a worsening condition early.
-It measures carbon dioxide. This tells us how well someone is breathing and helps confirm advanced airway placement. That is critical during cardiac arrest and respiratory failure.
-It guides high performance CPR. The Zoll literally analyzes CPR to increase the chance of survival. All of this happens in the first few minutes of care. Long before the emergency room. In rural EMS, time and distance matter. We do not have the luxury of being two minutes from a hospital. This monitor brings the hospital to you.
Devices like the Zoll X Series represent a significant investment in the level of care we bring to every call. A single unit costs approximately $40,000.00, before ongoing expenses such as maintenance, software, disposables, and replacement supplies. Equipment like this is carried on the ambulance every hour of every day so it is ready the moment you need it. It is one example of how EMS provides hospital level capability long before a patient ever reaches the emergency department, and why readiness has real and ongoing costs.

So when you see our crews carrying this device into a scene, understand what it represents. Advanced assessment. Early intervention. Better outcomes. It is one more way Riverside Ambulance delivers critical care when it matters most.

Today our crews at Riverside Ambulance are proud to be out alongside Marked Tree Fire Department supporting Make-A-Wish.

This is what the fire service and EMS are supposed to look like. Not just responding when someone calls 911, but standing in the street together for the kids and families in our community who are facing the hardest moments of their lives.
Every donation today goes toward giving a child a moment of hope, and that matters more than any siren we will run.

If you see our trucks out, stop by, say hello, and drop something in the boot! It all adds up.

Marked Tree takes care of its own and we are honored to be part of that.

We want to extend our sincere thanks to the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management, Arkansas Ambulance Association, Arkansas Ambulance Alliance and our friends at the state and national level for stepping up in a big way for our community. Through their coordination and support, the National Guard is now on the ground assisting Riverside Ambulance to protect and care for The City of Marked Tree and the rest of our service area. That level of response does not happen by chance and it speaks volumes about the confidence placed in our local leadership and our EMS system here.
Let this be clear. Our community will always be taken care of. Our residents are not being overlooked and they are not alone. We are extremely grateful for the assistance, the teamwork, and the commitment shown to our area. When the pressure is on, strong partnerships matter and we are seeing the very best of that right now.
If you happen to see these guys out please do us a favor and thank them for taking time away from their families to be here for ours.

🚨 Winter Storm Safety Reminder from Riverside Ambulance ❄️🚑

A major winter storm is expected to move into our area this weekend. We’re asking everyone to stay safe, stay warm, and stay home if you can. If travel isn’t absolutely necessary, please avoid being out — icy roads and dangerous conditions put everyone at risk.

Riverside Ambulance will be there.
Rain or shine.
Sleet or snow.
Day or night.

While we remain ready to respond, here’s how you can help protect yourself and your family:

🧊 Winter Safety Checklist

✔ Stay indoors when possible and limit travel
✔ Dress in layers and keep exposed skin covered
✔ Keep phones charged and flashlights ready
✔ Check on elderly neighbors when it’s safe to do so
✔ Have extra food, water, and medications on hand

🔥 Heater & Fire Safety

⚠️ Never use ovens, grills, or outdoor heaters to heat your home
⚠️ Keep space heaters at least 3 feet away from anything flammable
⚠️ Turn heaters off before sleeping or leaving the room
⚠️ Make sure smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are working
⚠️ Never run vehicles inside garages — even with the door open

Please remember to call 911 only for true emergencies, so crews can reach those who need help most.

Stay safe. Stay warm.
Riverside Ambulance is ready — no matter the weather. ❄️🚑

Today, while many are gathered around the table with family and friends, our crews are still here—ready, steady, and proud to serve the community we call home.

Christmas looks different in EMS. It’s answered calls instead of opening presents, warm blankets instead of wrapping paper, and compassion when people need it most. And we wouldn’t trade it—because this community is family to us.

From our Riverside family to yours: thank you for trusting us, supporting us, and letting us serve you every day of the year.

Stay safe. Hug your people tight. And know that if you need us—we’re here. ❤️🚑

Today, while most folks are gathering around dinner tables, swapping stories, sneaking extra pie, and trying to avoid that one relative who brings up politics, our crews are out there doing what they always do — showing up for this community with heart, grit, and compassion.

To every EMT and paramedic spending this holiday on shift instead of at home:
You are the quiet heroes of Thanksgiving.
While the world slows down, you stay ready. While families come together, you head out the door to help strangers in need. You give this community a sense of safety that can’t be measured, and we’re endlessly proud of the work you do.

To the families of our EMS crew:
Thank you for sharing your loved one with us today.
Thank you for the empty chairs at your tables, the late meals, the reheated plates, and the understanding that the work we do matters. You are just as much a part of this mission as the folks wearing the uniform.

To the people of Marked Tree, Tyronza, Poinsett County, and every community we serve:
We’re grateful for you.
This place isn’t just a service area — it’s home. And every call, every handshake, every wave from a kid on the sidewalk reminds us why we do what we do. Your trust means everything to us.

Whether today finds you at a full table, a quiet table, a station table, or behind the wheel of an ambulance, we wish you a day filled with warmth, gratitude, and moments that make you pause and appreciate the good around you.

From our Riverside family to yours:
Happy Thanksgiving. Stay safe, take care of each other, and know we’re always just a phone call away.

We’re holding the fort down for you. 💪

We are saddened to announce the passing of our president, Robert Fox. Rob started Riverside Ambulance over 30 years ago and has worked tirelessly for the communities he has served since. Over those 30 years, Rob has built a strong reputation for the level of care not only he, but everyone employed by him has delivered under his leadership. Today we recognize a wonderful Paramedic, husband, father, grandfather, boss, mentor and friend. Thank you all for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers. Please continue to keep the Fox family, Riverside Ambulance, and all of those who held Rob near and dear in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.

Training Never Stops — Even on Halloween! 🎃

While most folks were out dressing up for tricks and treats, Andrew and Johnathan spent their day at a cadaver lab, sharpening their medical knowledge and hands-on skills to better serve our community.

We want to take a moment to honor and thank the individuals who selflessly donated their bodies to medical education. Their gift is one of the greatest acts of service — allowing healthcare providers like us to learn, grow, and ultimately save lives.

A special thank-you goes to Dr. Holley for sharing his time, experience, and incredible insight during this training. His dedication to teaching the next generation of emergency medical professionals makes all the difference.

At Riverside Ambulance, we believe learning never stops — because our community deserves the very best care, every single day. ❤️🚑
