Immunovia, Inc. Offering hope through the early detection of pancreatic cancer Early detection is invaluable. It provides hope. And it can save lives. Immunovia, Inc.

The innovators at Immunovia, Inc. have developed IMMray® PanCan-d, the first blood test dedicated to the early detection of pancreatic cancer in individuals at risk for developing familial or hereditary pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Pancreatic cancer is a low incidence disease with a high mortality rate. The survival rate for those diagnosed in late stages is tragically low at 3%, but with early detection, the survival rate jumps to 44%. The goal of the IMMray PanCan-d test is to detect pancreatic cancer at earlier stages (stage I and II), when interventions and treatments can be most effective. This test is not just an advancement in science, but a chance for individuals to have a brighter future. The science behind the IMMray® PanCan-d test is complex, but what it provides for patients at risk is simple: Hope. The IMMray® PanCan-d test is dedicated to one simple goal: early detection. With early detection, we can possibly change the outcome of this devastating disease for individuals at risk. IMMray® PanCan-d measures 9 biomarkers (mostly proteins) that, when combined in an algorithm, may indicate the presence of pancreatic cancer. It’s another powerful tool for looking for pancreatic cancer in at-risk patients, assisting with the proactive surveillance of pancreatic cancer. Imagine a world where pancreatic cancer can be caught before it has a chance to spread and cause irreparable damage. is working hard to make that world a possible reality.

The science behind IMMray: What happens in the lab once your sample is received? 👇 🧬

Eight specific biomarkers relevant to pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) are printed onto a single microarray, with 12 microarrays per slide.

Your sample is then placed on the microarray and the response to each antibody is measured using a fluorescence scanner. The CA19-9 level is measured separately on the Roche Cobas instrument. The individual measurements of each biomarker and the CA19-9 levels are then entered into an advanced algorithm to come up with a result of High-Risk Signature Present, Negative for High-Risk Signature, or Borderline.

Can you improve your chances of detecting pancreatic cancer early?

The answer is yes. 💜

🔑 Here are a few ways you can increase your chances of detecting it in its early stages:

1. Schedule regular check-ups. Maintaining regular physicals and health check-ups with your healthcare provider can help detect physical signs and symptoms of pancreatic cancer. Mental health is just as important as physical health, so be sure to talk with your healthcare provider about your mental health, as we know depression and anxiety may be early sign of the disease.

2. Watch for the symptoms. Some common ones are jaundice, dark urine and/or light-colored stools, abdominal and/or back pain, bloating, nausea or indigestion, newly-onset diabetes after the age of 50, and unexplained weight loss.

3. Know your risk factors. Know your family history of pancreatic cancer, and whether you fall under any of the unmodifiable or unmodifiable risk factors.

4. Consider surveillance for pancreatic cancer: Ask your doctor about the IMMray PanCan-d test to detect pancreatic cancer in its earliest stages.

With pancreatic cancer, treatment success is tied to the stage of cancer at diagnosis.

The stage, or classification, of cancer at the time of diagnosis plays a key role in determining the appropriate treatment for the patient. When pancreatic cancer is caught in its earliest stages, treatments have the highest chance of success.

That's why we're proud to say we've developed the first blood test dedicated to the early detection of pancreatic cancer, IMMray PanCan-d.

What is the role of genetics in the development of pancreatic cancer?

While the exact cause of pancreatic cancer is not fully understood, some evidence suggests that specific genetic mutations, such as BRCA2 and CDKN2A (and others) are associated with an increased risk.

Additionally, a close relative with pancreatic cancer can increase your risk. 10% to 15% of people with pancreatic cancer have an immediate family member who also has/had it.

It's important to note that lifestyle choices and environmental factors can also contribute to an individual's risk.

If you think your genes may put you at an increased risk, consider IMMray PanCan-d, an early detection test for pancreatic cancer.

🏃 Meet Keelin, a runner putting in the miles for pancreatic cancer.

💔 Running became Keelin's refuge and a means to reclaim her life. She experienced two profound losses: her aunt Cassie's battle with pancreatic cancer in 2009 and a pregnancy loss in 2010. Grief, depression, and anxiety consumed her during that time.

🌙 In 2013, her aunt Cassie appeared in a dream, urging her to break free from grief and embrace life. Awaking in tears, she knew it was time to heal.

👟 The next day, Keelin ran with determination, lacing up her shoes for a humble start. Despite covering only a short distance, she persisted. Running freed her from self-limiting beliefs and the weight of grief.

🏃‍♀️ Since then, Keelin has completed over a dozen half marathons, dedicating a majority to Project Purple - a nonprofit raising awareness, supporting patients, and funding pancreatic cancer research. She has also conquered multiple marathons.

🌟 Running embodies progress for Keelin—through life, grief, and the search for a cure.

💜 Recent Highlight: As a Purple Project ambassador, Keelin ran a 5k a day in May. Each day she dedicated her 5k runs and walks to those who have fought or are currently fighting pancreatic cancer. Next up she will attempt the 4x4x48 challenge to raise money for Project Purple in celebration of her upcoming 40th birthday.

Today is World No To***co Day, a day to raise awareness about the harmful effects of to***co on our health.

Did you know that to***co use is a major risk factor for pancreatic cancer? According to the American Cancer Society, smokers are two to three times more likely to develop pancreatic cancer than non-smokers. Quit today. Commit to a healthier future for yourself and your loved ones.
