Teddy is NOT a therapy dog, but will be with you during therapy. Let me explain….
Teddy is a highly trained service dog who was bred, raised, and trained by NEADS in Princeton, MA. NEADS is a nationally recognized non profit which has been matching service dog teams for over 50 years..
Service dogs like Teddy are protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act and are granted public access rights..
Teddy’s role goes far beyond comfort, he is formally trained to “work” and actively support and assist. .
All animals can be healing. But not all animals are trained or legally recognized to work in the way service dogs are. .
And that distinction protects both the people who rely on them and the integrity of these programs. ❤️🐕‍🦺

It is okay if trust takes time.
It is okay to say the hard things out loud.
It is okay for therapists to be human, too.

Dogs give us so much.🐾.
They sense our moods, sit beside us on hard days, celebrate the good ones, and love us without conditions. Many of them spend their lives supporting our nervous systems in ways we don’t even realize..
Reiki offers dogs the same thing they give us so freely—calm, balance, and gentle energetic support..
Whether a dog is anxious, aging, recovering, or simply deserves a moment of peace, Reiki creates space for their body and energy to relax and reset..

Let’s clear the air😅Working with a service dog is beautiful, but it is not always easy..
Teddy helps me support others every day — in therapy sessions, trainings, and community spaces. He’s steady, intuitive, and incredibly loving (not to mention the sweetest). But working with a service dog also means constant advocacy, planning ahead, answering questions, and sometimes navigating misunderstandings in public..
It means always being “on” and being mindful of not just yourself but checking in with Teddy too.🖤🐕‍🦺.
A service dog is not just a prop or a perk. It is a hard working partnership built on training, trust, and responsibility..
I am grateful every day for Teddy and the work we get to do together, helping people feel a little safer, calmer, and more supported in the world.🐾
