Community Invited to Educational Program on Alzheimer’s and Dementia
Alzheimer’s is not a normal part of aging. It is a complex brain disease that affects memory, thinking, and behavior — and understanding it is an important first step for individuals, families, and caregivers.
The Heartlands Senior Living Community will host Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia, an educational program presented by the Alzheimer’s Association, on Tuesday, March 10 from 4:00 to 5:00 PM at 6305 Bluewater Court, Marlette, MI.
This free community program is designed to provide clear, helpful information for anyone seeking knowledge, support, or guidance regarding Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
During the session, attendees will learn about:
The impact of Alzheimer’s disease
The difference between Alzheimer’s and dementia
Disease stages and risk factors
Current research and treatment options for symptom management
Resources and support available through the Alzheimer’s Association
Alzheimer’s disease affects millions of individuals and families across the country. Early education can empower people to recognize warning signs, understand risk factors, and access available resources and support services.
The program is free and open to the public. Community members are encouraged to attend whether they are caregivers, family members, healthcare professionals, or simply interested in learning more.
