Interesting study. Keep in mind it was done on mice so the results could vary with humans. The study also shows that the timing and type of acupuncture can affect the inflammatory, immune and cytokine storm response. By reducing inflammation and the cytokines storm response, acupuncture could be helpful in treating COVID-19 but more studies need to be done. It also boost the immune system. Trained and experienced acupuncturist would never do intense electro acupuncture when a person is severely ill which would affect why the results were less beneficial during full cytokine storm.

They are offering a Wellness Day event at the JCC in Cherry Hill on March 26, 2020 where you are given gifts, information as well as assistance to pay for services not usually covered by insurance. There are more locations in the surrounding NJ and Philadelphia area. Check to see if your provider is a partner and sign up.
