In recovery, that matters.

Time with therapy dogs has been shown to lower blood pressure and reduce cortisol, the body’s primary stress hormone. When cortisol stays high, the nervous system remains in fight or flight, making it harder to think clearly, regulate emotions, or engage in treatment.
