Meet Scott Corkin, one of Activeโ€™s athletic trainers who also serves as an athletic trainer for Ishpeming athletes! Scottโ€™s path to Athletic Training started with an injury of his own. After breaking his wrist playing high school football, an athletic trainer made a custom splint that allowed him to keep playing while it healed, and the experience stuck with him. ๐Ÿ’š

Nearly 20 years later, Scott is still doing what he loves: helping athletes stay safe and get back in the game. One of the most meaningful parts of his career? Getting to cover his own sonsโ€™ games during their time at Ishpeming. ๐Ÿˆ

External pelvic release techniques are a gentle way physical therapists help reduce muscle tension and improve mobility in the pelvic area. By releasing tight muscles, we can help ease discomfort and support better overall movement. ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ’š

Your first PT visit starts with listening. ๐Ÿ‘‚

We talk through whatโ€™s been going on, what matters most to you, and what you want to get back to. From there, we assess how you move, build a plan that fits your body, and move forward together at a pace that feels right. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’š

If you have been experiencing pain, talk to your doctor to see if physical therapy might be right for you.

Your joints need movement to stay healthy. ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’š

Moving helps circulate the fluid that nourishes your joints and keeps them feeling smoother and less stiff. It doesnโ€™t have to be big or intense. Consistent, comfortable movement can make a real difference over time. Let the movement work for you. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป
