MARQUETTE, Mich. (WBUP/WJMN) — In a partnership with the dispensary The Fire Station (TFS), a local environmentalist group is launching a cannabis v**e disposal program effective Wednesday, March 4.

The Fire Station is proud to partner with Citizens for a Safe & Clean Lake Superior (CSCLS) to launch our region's first cannabis v**e recycling program, effective today!

While CSCLS has already diverted 500+ lbs of ni****ne v**es from our local landfills, this expansion allows us to safely process cannabis v**es as well, ensuring hazardous waste stays out of our waterways.

Where to recycle your v**es:

📍 Cannabis & Ni****ne:
• Peter White Public Library (During business hours)
• Superior Watershed Partnership Climate Office (Wednesdays, 12pm–4pm)

📍 Ni****ne ONLY:
• Kenny’s Corner Store (Hewitt & 4th)
• All Marquette, Negaunee, Ishpeming, and Harvey Circle K locations.

Note: TFS is actively advocating for a solution to collect spent cannabis v**es on-site. However, the state is in the process of creating a regulatory path for this.
