Job description:
We’re seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Nurse to join our outpatient clinic team. This full-time role blends direct patient care, telephone triage, and operational support to ensure smooth, high-quality experiences for patients of all ages. Patient Care & Assessment
• Deliver direct care across the lifespan, including immunizations, injections, and routine procedures
• Conduct telephone triage and determine appropriate follow-up (ER, office visit, specialist referral)
• Perform nurse appointments, obtain vitals, reconcile medications, and conduct non-invasive tests (EKG, NST, flu/strep/mono/COVID, ear lavage)
• Initiate in-house testing and immunizations using sound clinical judgment
• Educate patients and families using evidence-based resources
Operational & Administrative Support
• Prepare and document patient charts accurately and promptly
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace (including instrument sterilization and waste disposal)
• Oversee vaccination programs: ordering, stocking, and MCIR registry updates
• Support lab recalls, future order management, and nurse scheduling
• Communicate workload status and support needs to promote transparency
• Refrain from personal calls or errands during work hours (except designated breaks)
This is a full-time position with operating hours Monday through Friday, primarily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Some shifts may start as early as 6:30 AM or extend into the evening (up to approximately 7:00 PM), depending on provider schedules. The primary focus of this role is triage nursing, typically working from 8:30 or 9:00 AM until 5:30 PM, with occasional floor coverage as needed. Flexibility, reliability, and a team-first mindset are essential.
