Are You Getting Enough Nutrients for Your Eyes? 🥦👁️

Most Americans don’t eat enough vegetables each day—especially the leafy greens that are essential for healthy vision. Nutrients like lutein, zeaxanthin, and meso-zeaxanthin play a critical role in protecting the macula, the part of the eye responsible for sharp, detailed vision.

Because many diets fall short, supplements like MacuHealth can help support the nutrients your eyes need. These vitamins are specifically designed to replenish the important carotenoids that help protect your eyes from oxidative stress and long-term damage.

Taking care of your vision isn’t just about seeing clearly today—it’s about protecting your eye health for the future.

👁️ If you have questions or are interested in these, or other Macuhealth products, stop in to our office. They are available for purchase at our front desk.

👁️ Don’t Skip Your Annual Eye Exam!

Your eyes can change more in a year than you might think. Routine yearly eye exams help us detect vision changes early, update your prescription, and check for eye health issues before they become bigger problems.

Even if your vision seems “fine,” many eye conditions develop without noticeable symptoms at first. An annual exam helps keep your eyes healthy and your vision clear.

📅 If it’s been a year (or longer!) since your last visit, it might be time to schedule your exam. Your future vision will thank you!

Sven came to us struggling with visual skills which were making school and everyday tasks harder than they should be. Reading was tiring, focusing was frustrating, and his eyes weren’t working together the way they needed to.

After committing to our Vision Therapy program, Sven put in the work week after week — and now we’re so excited to celebrate that he officially graduated! 🎓👓

Through therapy, Sven strengthened his eye teaming, tracking, and focusing skills. The result? More confidence, better visual comfort, and tools that will help him succeed in the classroom and beyond.

Watching patients like Sven grow, improve, and gain confidence is exactly why we love what we do. His dedication and positive attitude made this journey so rewarding for our entire VT team.

Congratulations, Sven! We are so proud of you! 👏

If your child struggles with reading, attention, or eye coordination, vision therapy may help address the root cause.

Did you know...

80% of learning in the classroom is visual. From reading books to seeing the board, children rely on their vision every single day at school.

But many kids with vision problems don’t even realize they’re struggling. They may simply avoid reading, lose their place on the page, or have trouble concentrating.

That’s why regular comprehensive eye exams are so important for school-aged children. Clear, comfortable vision helps give them the tools they need to succeed in the classroom. 📚✨

If it’s been a while since your child’s last eye exam, now is a great time to schedule one! 906-228-4401

March is Brain Injury Awareness Month 💚🧠

A traumatic brain injury (TBI) can happen in an instant — from a fall, car accident, sports injury, or concussion — but its effects can last for months or even years.

Each year in the United States, millions of people sustain a TBI, and many continue to experience lingering symptoms long after the initial injury. What many people don’t realize is that vision problems are one of the most common ongoing challenges after a brain injury. In fact, research shows that a significant percentage of individuals with TBI experience visual dysfunction.

Why? Because vision is not just about eyesight — it’s a brain function. Over half of the brain is involved in processing visual information. When the brain is injured, the visual system is often disrupted.

Common post-TBI visual symptoms include:
• Blurry or double vision
• Difficulty focusing
• Light sensitivity
• Headaches with reading or screen use
• Eye strain
• Dizziness or balance problems
• Trouble concentrating

At Superior Eye Health and Vision Therapy Center, we provide specialized care for patients recovering from concussions and TBIs. Our customized Vision Therapy programs are designed to retrain and strengthen the connection between the eyes and the brain.

Vision Therapy can help:
✅ Improve eye coordination
✅ Restore focusing ability
✅ Enhance tracking and reading skills
✅ Reduce visual-related headaches and strain
✅ Support overall neurological recovery

If you or someone you love is still experiencing symptoms after a concussion or brain injury, don’t ignore the visual component. Proper evaluation and treatment can make a life-changing difference.

📞 Contact our office to schedule a functional vision evaluation and learn more about how we can help. Call 906-228-4401, option 4 for vision therapy.
