All funds raised from the Run for Recovery Presented by TruNorth Federal Credit Union support the GLRC Foundation Compassionate Care Fund.

The Compassionate Care Fund was established in 2012 through a donation made in memory of a former client and helps individuals access care who may not be able to otherwise. This is beneficial for clients who may be uninsured, underinsured, not eligible for governmental or community funding, or otherwise not able to pay for services. Individuals receiving assistance from the Compassionate Care Fund may be from anywhere in the Upper Peninsula. Monies from the Compassionate Care Fund have been used to help clients access assessment services, outpatient counseling, residential treatment, and recovery housing. The funds may also be used to help clients pay for transportation to one of GLRC's residential treatment facilities or recovery housing locations.
