🚨 Public Safety Alert from the Marquette City Fire Department🚨

The ice in Marquette’s Lower Harbor is NOT safe. We received reports this morning of an individual falling through the ice. Fortunately, they were able to self-extricate and are safe.

Do NOT go out on the ice. Ice conditions and thickness are highly unstable and can change rapidly, even within hours. What looks solid may fail without warning.

For your safety and the safety of first responders, stay off the Lower Harbor ice.

Please take this warning seriously and help keep yourself and others safe. If you have any question, please feel free to reach out to the Marquette City Fire Dept.

It's going to be a great day on the NTN Trails!
Racer notes:
- Registration and packet pick-up opens at 8 am
- Mandatory racer meeting at 8:40 am
- Enduro courses open for timing from 9 am - noon
- There will not be volunteers at the top of the stages telling you when to go. Once you cross the start line, your time starts! Space yourselves out as you like, or ride as a group. It's up to you.
- Wear a helmet
- Tires must be min. 3.8" wide
- Awards are at 12:30 pm

Had a great time working with the U.P. Rowing Learn to Row program yesterday providing an overview of strategies to best organize the body to minimize injury risk
and enhance rowing performance. Looking forward to future collaborations with the club!

Meet Dr. Michael Houle, a Doctor of Chiropractic and Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician®. He hails from Marquette, MI where his passion for the outdoors and athletics was fostered. It was through these activities that he experienced the challenges of a long-term sports injury that led him to explore chiropractic care as a holistic solution for chronic pain relief.

Inspired to help others, he achieved his Doctorate and Master’s degree from University of Western States in Portland, OR. Dr. Houle returned to the Upper Peninsula after practicing in Oregon following graduation.

Outside of the office, he can be found mountain biking, running, alpine skiing, or nordic skiing with his wife, son, and dog.
