Westside Orthopaedic Clinic Dr. Katz is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in Spine surgery. He also does generalized orthopaedic surgery.

Dr. Katz has been practicing at Westside Orthopaedic CLinic for over 19 years, and has been performing minimally invasive procedures for the past decade. He has performed over 500 minimally invasive procedures and his patients’ outcomes are consistently excellent. For the right patient, who has failed conservative treatment (i.e. – medication, PT, injections), a minimally invasive microdiscectomy can be done in an outpatient setting with an incision that can be covered by a band-aid. The procedure typically takes less than an hour. Most patients can return to normal activities within 3 to 6 weeks, depending on his/her individual circumstances. Dr. Katz proudly services the greater New Orleans area as one of NOLA’s finest Orthopedic Surgeons. Appointments are made in a timely manner. Dr. Katz can usually see new patients the same day. Additionally, diagnostic testing (i.e. – x-rays, EMG/NCS, MRIs) can be conveniently performed at Westside Orthopaedic Clinic or nearby at one of several imaging facilities. Westside Orthopaedic Clinic accepts most major insurances, including BCBS, Aetna, Humana, Coventry, United Healthcare, Medicare and Workers’ Compensation.

Meet Jenni, Dr. Katz's nurse.

Jenni has been with Westside Orthopaedic Clinic for almost 30 years. She works closely with Dr. Katz in the office and in surgery. She graduated from Archbishop Blenk High School then continued her education at Louisiana Technical College where she graduated as a LPN. She also futhered her career, and is a CPC. She enjoys working in orthopedics and providing care for patients. She is a wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

Dr. Katz has been practicing at Westside Orthopaedic Clinic for over 25 years. He resides in New Orleans with his wife and children.

Dr.Katz enjoys practicing in the greater New Orleans area as one of NOLA’s finest OrthopaedicSurgeons. He has performed over 750 minimally invasive procedures and his patients’ outcomes are consistently excellent.

Along with performing minimally invasive procedures, Dr. Katz also treats an array of general orthopaedic conditions and performs surgeries to treat these conditions if appropriate.
