🥜Great news for parents: new real-world research shows that introducing peanut-based products to babies as early as 4 months old has already helped thousands of children avoid life-threatening peanut allergies. Feeding babies peanut products early—rather than avoiding them until later—has turned out to be a game-changer for preventing peanut allergies. Always check with your child’s pediatrician and/or allergist before introducing allergens, especially if your baby has eczema, is premature, or has other risk factors. The research reinforces the 2021 recommendation to introduce major allergens (like peanuts) between 4-6 months of age, rather than delaying.
