We honor Norman C. Francis, a true architect of Black excellence. The first Black graduate of Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, longtime president of Xavier University of Louisiana, national leader in higher education, chair of the United Negro College Fund, and recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. From New Orleans to the nation, his life proved that access to education changes everything. Rest in power to a living chapter of Black history. 🖤✊🏾
