Men are often told they have no voice. That their partner’s pregnancy decision is up to her and her alone.
Many men do not want an abortion but remain silent. Others are indifferent or even supportive of their partner’s abortion decision, but later feel the weight of its affects.
The truth is that abortion affects men too. Whether they supported the abortion decision, remained silent, or advocated against the abortion, they will likely experience a myriad of emotional and psychological challenges. (SWIPE ➡️ to read more!)
A 2013 study revealed that at least one-third of women chose abortion for “partner-related” reasons, including a poor relationship, wanting to be married, lack of support, pressure to abort, or abuse.
57% of men would keep the baby if it was solely up to them but yet a third of abortions are done due to partner issues… the numbers don’t add up.
How much pain and regret could be avoided if men abandoned the lie that they don’t have a voice and chose to speak up in support?
How many men and women would discover that they both want their baby if they chose open and honest communication?
Men, women need you to speak up. It is not enough to be quiet or vaguely support “whatever she decides.” You have a voice. This decision affects you in profound ways. Speak up, specifically support your partner, and advocate for the life of your child.
