Headaches can occur anytime and have many origins or triggers which include foods, environmental stimuli (noises, blaring lights anxiety and stress), low blood sugar, high blood pressure, alcohol, dehydration, cervical spine misalignment, insomnia, excessive exercise, exposure to toxic substances-environments and women’s menstrual cycles.
Society is more sedentary now and many of us spend countless hours in one fixed, repetitive incorrect posture (such as sitting in front of a computer). Over time the results of poor posture, puts muscle control at odds with the forces of gravity. Resulting in a condition called anterior head carriage or forward head posture, increasing joint irritation, muscle tension in the neck, upper back and scalp, causing your head to ache.
