We are located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just outside of Asheville, NC. The Prama Wellness Center specializes in effective detox and rejuvenation techniques for long term health and well being. Our spa and detox treatments combine yoga, meditation, fasting with fresh juice and broth, super foods, mud applications, massage, and more. Clients leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Ginger Miso Gravy (Vegan)

From The Prama Wellness Method™ Conscious Cooking Cookbook

Warm, comforting, and deeply nourishing — this Ginger Miso Gravy is one of our favorite flavorful alternative additions to bowls, veggies, grains, and seasonal dishes. It’s full of plant-based goodness and comes together quickly with simple whole-food ingredients. Use organic ingredients whenever possible for the cleanest, most vibrant flavor.

Ingredients:
1 medium grated yellow potato
½ medium grated sweet potato
1 tsp finely grated ginger
1 cup chopped celery
1 medium grated carrot
2 Tbsp miso paste
½ cup Braggs liquid aminos
½ cup nutritional yeast
1 tsp cracked pepper
1 Tbsp sage
1 cup water
2 Tbsp cornstarch

Directions:
Add the grated potatoes, ginger, celery, carrots, miso, and water to a blender. Blend on high for 5 minutes.
If the mixture is too thick to blend, add a little water — you're basically making a vegetable smoothie.

Pour the mixture into a small pot and bring it to a boil.

Once boiling, reduce the heat to a simmer. Add the remaining ingredients except the cornstarch. Bring back to a boil.

In a separate bowl, mix the cornstarch with a bit of water to form a paste. Add to the gravy to thicken (or add water to thin).

INGREDIENTS:
• 1 Cup Spinach
• 5 romain leaves
• 1/2-1 Cucumber
• 1 Tbs fresh ginger
• 1/2 bulb fennel
• 1 green apple
• 1/4 cup cilantro
• 1 pear
• 1 lemon, juiced or put through the blender

- Put each item in a centrifugal blender and enjoy! Always use organic ingredients when available.
