⭐ Family Stories Month Spotlight ⭐
Meet Pat L.! Pat was born in California and spent her childhood growing up with seven siblings. She remembers days filled with farm chores, fruit trees, and helping with her younger brothers and sister. Pat's favorite childhood memories include visiting museums with prehistoric animals and spending holidays with her big family — especially Christmas and Easter, when everyone gathered for a big breakfast and laughter that filled the house.
Pat's advice for younger generations: “Make sure you’re well-educated, and don’t give up.”
Pat hopes her family remembers her as caring, loving, and always ready to help anyone in need — a reflection of her strong faith and generous heart. ❤️

Shining some spotlight on one of our residents of the month, Sally!
Sally, who is originally from Marshalltown, prides herself on something very important to her which is family. Sally states that the team has become a second family to her. Sally enjoys all the activities that Southridge has to offer but especially enjoys Bingo and Resident Auction. Her favorite color is purple, and when it comes to food she enjoys pepperoni pizza the most. What Sally likes to do in her free time is bowling, watching tv, reading and coloring and doing word puzzles.

Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate our annual Halloween Trick or Treat event! 🎃👻 Your enthusiastic participation made it truly memorable, and we loved seeing all the creative costumes you brought to life! From spooky ghosts to whimsical witches, each outfit showcased the incredible spirit of our community. We had a spooktacular time enjoying the festivities, sharing treats, and making unforgettable memories together. Can't wait to do it again next year! Southridge Specialty Care has been part of the Marshalltown community for decades. In 2001, we moved into a beautiful new center on the south side of the city.
We are proud of Southridge’s family – and that means so much to our residents. When their family members cannot be here, they are a part of “our family.” We understand the importance of creating and maintaining an atmosphere where people feel loved, secure and well-cared for. Southridge has an extensive variety of superior rehabilitation services. Special efforts are made to provide an intimate setting for your therapy needs. Our staff consists of trained, experienced licensed physical, occupational and speech therapists. All therapies are also offered to the public on an outpatient basis.
Southridge was chosen as the “Best of the Best” nursing homes in the Marshalltown area. A special effort is made to ensure a quiet, comfortable living environment. Our staff provides professional care to every resident. Home-cooked meals are served and daily activities are provided for the residents’ emotional and physical well-being.
