In a time when so much that is happening in our lives is uncertain and out of our control, we must remind ourselves that, even when it feels painful, change is an ever constant and beautiful thing if we choose to embrace it and flow with all the amazing gifts it can provide. For the two of us here at Healing Space, we are currently facing one of these changes happening right now. As the spread of this virus continues, leaving people’s lives in it’s wake, we have decided that we cannot continue our business as it stands now. A highly compromised immune system has made this decision hit home for us on a very personal level and the risk of a life did not outweigh the love we have for what we created in our beloved 13th Street District. Kim and Claire have decided that it is time to go their separate ways. Kim will be moving to a more private art studio where she will focus mostly on creating more of her inspiring art pieces to share with the world and when the time comes when Claire is able to provide care again, she will hopefully be working with her current clients in her home here in Marshalltown (pending city approval). As our heart aches for the loss of the business we worked so hard to create, the beautiful building we called our home, the community support we were so blessed to have, and the most amazing partnership two people could share, we are working hard to open our hearts to this unforeseen change and the new gifts that are in store for us. We promise we aren’t leaving you and we aren’t leaving this town. We love you all and are beyond grateful for all that we have gotten to share with you during our time on 13th St. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any question you have about this big change. We hope you all are healthy and well and are doing your best to embrace whatever changes are happening in your life right now. Sending peace, strength, and love to each and every one of you!

Hello to all of my wonderful clients. This has been one of the hardest decisions I have had to make but after much consideration as well as following the guidance from both our governor and the American Massage Therapy Association, as of tonight, I will be closing my doors until, at the earliest, March 31. I cannot in good conscience continue to put my clients/their families at risk as well as my own compromised respiratory system due to recent pneumonia. Also, with the nature of my practice being close physical contact, I feel I have to do my part in limiting the spread of the corona virus in order to reduce the strain on our healthcare system. I do hope you all understand this decision and know that I cannot wait to get through this time and get back to providing you all with the healing you both need and deserve. Please stay safe and take care of yourself and others. ❤️
