Also, “in its oldest sense, valor means the willingness to attempt something worthy, knowing the cost might be everything, doing it anyway out of love for the thing itself.”
Can we have true valor if we do not know what is worthy of our love?

Valor Renaissance School is held on farm Monday and Tuesday afternoons. It is a homeschool enrichment program for boys and girls ages 8-17.
As Mr. Grant likes to say, it’s everything he wished he could have done as a kid. It is a really special program and honestly just so freaking awesome. More info and enrollment options can be found on our website.

We must fight now more than ever for the real things in life. Unfortunately that often means allowing for inconvenience. Real things take time and purpose and intention. If we have freed up our time only to fill it with all that is fake and filler we have missed the point- and boy have we- and we are suffering for it. Fight for what’s real, my friends and learn to do hard things.

It’s been quite the experience lately of trying to keep the boys in the opposite pasture from the ladies. They aren’t thrilled. They’ve taken to visiting the neighbors herd and jumping all the fences they can. 🙄 Gilbert here is one of the main offenders. Good thing he’s cute.

We are busy gearing up for our spring session of VALOR, Open Arena Nights, and our seasonal farmstand- thanks to our crazy winter storm projects have been pushed back a little bit (here’s hoping to get the bathrooms built in time! 💪🏼)

Yesterday’s full moon sunrise almost made me like all the snow again. And the sunshine and 50 degrees that followed made me extra antsy for garden season and even more annoyed at all the snow. Oh, Missouri.
