Marshfield Clinic region of Sanford Health and Security Health Plan are proud to announce a $150,000 funding initiative aimed at supporting innovative, community-driven projects that address food insecurity and promote healthier lives across Wisconsin and Michigan's upper peninsula.

The program invites tax-exempt and government agencies serving communities within the Marshfield Clinic's service area to apply for grants of up to $10,000. These funds are intended to support projects that help individuals and families access the food they need to live healthy, fulfilling lives.

Northwoods Coalition (a program of Marshfield Clinic Health System) was able to distribute $35,000 to 13 different Wisconsin counties and tribes to address youth substance use prevention projects. Many people enjoy celebrating the winter holidays, but some people are more likely to drink heavily during holidays than other times of the year. Alcohol can have a significant impact on a driver’s focus and ability to maintain control behind the wheel. On average, someone is injured or killed in an impaired driving crash every two hours in Wisconsin. In 2023, there were over 7,700 impaired driving crashes that claimed the lives of 186 people on Wisconsin roads.
