Here’s to 5 years!!

Five years ago, I walked away from my career as an investigator and stepped fully into entrepreneurship. I opened Your Me Time Massage immediately, not fully knowing what the path would look like, but trusting that I was being led to create something of my own.

There were growing pains. New systems to learn. Clients lost while figuring things out, and new ones gained along the way. Every challenge shaped both the business and the therapist I’ve become.

Five years later, I’m grateful. A new space. A team. More experience, more clarity, and a deeper understanding of purpose.

I truly believe God guided this journey, and I’m thankful for everyone who has supported me, trusted me, and grown with me along the way.

Wrapping up the day and resetting the room for what’s ahead. Watching clients walk in, smile, and immediately feel good in the space is everything to us.

Room #2 has been in full operation, and the feedback has been consistent. Everyone comments on how beautiful it is and how calm they feel just being in the room. That feeling matters here.

Grateful for our team and their continued support as we continue to grow and expand with intention.

How can I help you feel lighter?

Most clients come to me feeling "stuck" or “stiff.” They feel a deep, heavy stiffness in their upper back and neck that they just can’t relieve no matter how much stretching and self-massage they do. Even recruiting the help of household members to just “press that lil spot right there.” Often, they’ve even started to notice a "bulk" or "hump" forming at the base of their neck, assuming it’s just something they have to live with. Thinking it’s just “fat.”

When you are chronically stiff, muscles like your Trapezius, Rhomboids, and Levator Scapulae don’t just get tight—they "bunch up." They thicken to act as a physical anchor for your spine against the strain of daily life. This creates that dense, rounded look you see in the "before" photo.

In under 20 minutes, I helped this client’s body remember how to let go.

By manually releasing the fascia and lengthening the muscle fibers, I was able to smooth out that tension. The result isn't just a flatter, smoother back—it’s a body that can finally breathe and move without restriction.

I’m showing up on your feed more because I want you to see the person behind the practice. Before I was a Certified Medical Massage Practitioner, I worked as a felony investigator. I’ve seen firsthand how high-pressure lives leave "physical evidence" on the body in the form of pain and burnout.

Over the past 5 years, I have used that same investigative lens to solve the mystery of why you hurt. But here’s the thing: I don't see titles, and I don't see failures. I see humans doing their absolute best to exist in a stressful world.

Self-Care Tip (Outside the Massage Room): Protect Your Nervous System

Massage helps your body relax—but regulation continues long after you leave the table.

One of the most overlooked forms of self-care is who you allow access to your time, energy, space (including your social medias), and attention. When your nervous system stays exposed to people or environments that feel unsafe, dismissive, or triggering, the body remains in a low-level stress response.

Nervous system care can look like:
-limiting access without explanation (people know what they’re doing)
-disengaging from conversations that create tension
-choosing peace over proximity
-allowing people to choose their alignment—and responding with distance (allow people to choose the side they want to be on and move on without them)
-creating emotional safety in your everyday life (vulnerability is ok)

When the nervous system feels protected, the body can soften.
When the body softens, healing happens faster.

We’ll be sharing more ways to support your nervous system and body outside of the massage room—because true self-care is a lifestyle, not just an appointment.
