This is a great example of why we shouldn't rush those who may take time to get their thoughts out. Oftentimes they have something wonderful to say and we just need to be patient because if we are not, we will miss out on what they bring to the table.

Our VocHab crew has been learning practical job skills by volunteering at the Madison County Humane Society. We love being able to help out the animals and give them some much needed socialization!

One reason we love Special Events is that it is an opportunity for people with the same interests but different schedules to connect! Anna and Shayne both love being outdoors but they have opposite schedules. A Special Event to Hocking Hills was a great way for all of us to enjoy nature together!

With the continued federal government shutdown, millions are preparing to be without foodstamps. If you or someone you know will be without food during this time, please reach out. I have a freezer full of beef, and will bake enough loaves of bread to feed an army. I personally feel it is our duty to feed our neighbors if able, so that is what we will do. No need to be served by us. No questions asked.

I know many disabled folks receive nutritional assistance and it makes me sick to think a single one of them could be hungry during this time.

Thanks to a wonderful partnership with the Marysville Art League we are now able to work on our cooking skills at the Houston House! We feel that it is important that everyone be able to cook a simple meal or bake themselves a sweet treat.

Keep up the hard work, Riley! 💪

Riley is a hard worker who is especially good at the slide position on the line- one she has learned to do very quickly! Riley enjoys helping others and likes having a job that she gets paid for.
She is proud of the new friends she has made and thinks people would be surprised to learn she is not only nice, but funny too!
