Staff Spotlight: Dr. John Kriese, DO

A Blount County native, Dr. John Kriese is thrilled to return home to practice medicine with Senior Care Partners.

Dr. Kriese is board-certified in Family Medicine and completed a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine. His passion for caring for seniors and his local roots make him a valued part of our team.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family (and his dog, Maggie), collecting vinyl records, traveling, and photography.

November is American Diabetes Month.

This month, we raise awareness about diabetes, its prevention, and management. For seniors, keeping blood sugar levels in check is key to maintaining overall health. Healthy eating, regular physical activity, and routine checkups can make all the difference.

At Senior Care Partners, we’re here to help you manage chronic conditions like diabetes with personalized, compassionate care.

With cooler temperatures on the way, it’s important for seniors to stay warm and safe. Keep your thermostat set to 68°F or higher, wear layered clothing, and use blankets to stay cozy.

Even mild cold can affect circulation and increase the risk of illness, so take extra care this season.
