💙 Sharing the Love in Our Communities 💙
Throughout January, Nursing Leaders at Anderson Hospital and Community Hospital of Staunton came together to collect food and essential items for neighbors in need. Today, their hard work and generosity culminated in a special delivery—spreading kindness and care across our communities.

As part of our February “Share the Love” initiative, these donations are being delivered to pantries in Staunton, Collinsville, Glen Carbon, Troy, and Highland—communities we are honored to serve every day.

We are incredibly proud of our nursing teams for leading with compassion, lifting others up, and reminding us that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
Thank you to everyone who contributed. Together, we’re building stronger, more caring communities—one gesture at a time. 💛

🩺❤️ February is American Heart Month — and we have something special to celebrate!
Did you know that diabetes can double the risk of heart disease because high blood sugar damages blood vessels and nerves, leading to plaque buildup, high blood pressure, and unhealthy cholesterol levels? Taking steps to manage glucose, blood pressure, and cholesterol can make a big difference in protecting your heart. 💙
We’re proud to share that an awareness shirt designed and sold in November raised $2,138.16 for the American Diabetes Association. Thank you to everyone who supported the cause and helped make an impact!
Together, we’re raising awareness, supporting research, and taking steps toward healthier hearts. ❤️💪

❤️ Become a Heart Hero this February! ❤️
The Edwardsville Fire Department is offering FREE hands‑only CPR classes every Tuesday night in February — a perfect chance to learn or refresh a life‑saving skill!

If you've never been trained in CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) or could use a refresher, we've got the perfect opportunity to become familiar with this life-saving technique.
February is Heart Hero month for us; we're offering FREE basic compression-only (hands-only) classes every Tuesday night in February! ❤️ The classes will take place at the RP Lumber Center community room from 6-8 p.m. on February 3, 10, 17 and 24.
These free classes do not qualify for official certification, but they are a great no-stress opportunity to learn and practice CPR.
❤️ DID YOU KNOW? According to the American Red Cross, about a half-million cardiac arrests happen each year. A bystander who starts CPR can double or even triple the victim's chances of survival!
❤️ RESERVE A SEAT: Class sizes are limited, so please register to save a spot in one of the four classes: www.cityofedwardsville.com/hearthero

This week was National Have Fun at Work Week — but honestly, some of our team members celebrate that all year long!

Maddie and Jean from our IT department proved it once again as they braved sub freezing temps and a mountain of snow outside their office. If you know them, you’re definitely not surprised!

It’s moments like these that make working at Anderson such a joy. We’re lucky to have so many fun, spirited “characters” around here who make the long month of January (and every other day of the year!) a little brighter — and a lot more fun. ❄️😂💙
