I am pleased to announce that Heart Light is expanding its support offerings in 2026 with the introduction of two new groups: Sudden and Traumatic Loss, and Loss of a Parent(s) Group.

Our Sudden and Traumatic Loss Group is an ongoing peer support and educational group for people who have experienced an unexpected, sudden, traumatic loss (including but not limited to accidental death, su***de, homicide, etc). Regardless of how long ago the death occurred, you are welcome to attend. This group will be the first Tuesday of each month.

The Loss a Parent Support Group is an ongoing peer support and educational group for people who have experienced the death of a parent, grandparent, or other adult caregiver. Regardless of how long ago the death occurred, you are welcome to attend.

You're invited to join Heartlight, Grandview Cemetery, and Smith Life and Legacy for our heartfelt Holiday Lighting Remembrance Ceremony tomorrow from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. This special event offers a meaningful opportunity to create personalized rituals and traditions to honor and cherish the memories of your loved ones who have passed. We look forward to sharing this special evening with you.

This holiday season, over 13,000 luminaries will be placed in the cemetery to honor each life remembered.
You can also purchase additional candles.
Every candle you buy helps support Blount County’s Empty Pantry Fund — providing food and hope to local families in need.
