🎄❤️ A Very Special Thank You to Betty Scaggs! ❤️🎄

Each December, our newest arrivals go home with a beautiful, handmade holiday stocking — a beloved Anderson tradition that brings joy to our families during their most memorable moments.

We are incredibly grateful to Betty Scaggs, who has lovingly sewn every single stocking for years. Betty has been a dedicated Auxiliary volunteer since 1999, and her steady hands and generous heart make this tradition possible year after year. It truly is a labor of love.

This annual gift is also supported by a generous donation from our Medical Staff, which covers the embroidery and materials that make each stocking so special.

To Betty, to our Medical Staff, and to everyone who helps make the season brighter for our December newborns — thank you. Your kindness means more than you know. ❤️✨

For some of us, the holidays aren’t just filled with lights and laughter,
they’re filled with quiet ache.
We see the cute costumes, the family dinners, the stockings hung with love…
and we smile, but our hearts break a little behind that smile.
Because this season isn’t just about what’s here,
it’s about what’s missing.
The baby we never got to hold.
The child we’re still praying for.
The tiny chair that will stay empty again this year.
So if you see a mama who seems distant or teary this holiday season,
show her grace.
She’s surviving a time of year that magnifies her loss.
She’s doing her best to celebrate when her heart is still healing.
To the mothers with invisible motherhoods,
I see you.
You still belong in the joy of the season,
even with empty arms.
