Hi everyone ❤️
I just wanted to hop on and say I’m slowly getting back at it — and also apologize for the lack of posts lately. Thank you all so much for being patient with me while I’ve been grieving and trying to work through everything. It has meant more than you know.
I know I said I was going to take a break… and well, I didn’t exactly 😅 I’ve still been out there rescuing and driving all over. I just really needed a break from the messages and the online side of things while I processed everything. My phone has been FULL of nothing but cats in need, and it was just too hard on my soul to see every day while grieving my kitty.
I have a ton of messages to get through, and I promise I will be working on replying to everyone as soon as I can. I’ll also start catching you all up on what’s been going on behind the scenes.
I’m also going to be working on building a solid team so I’m more prepared this year. I can’t keep doing this alone — especially with kitten season almost here. If you’re interested in being part of the team, please keep an eye on my posts.
Which brings me to the hard part — I desperately need donations right now. I am nowhere near my February goal. I don’t think I received a single donation this month. I have continued getting cats fixed, and I have SEVERAL cats at fosters all around while driving all over for adoptions. The costs are adding up quickly.
Right now, the biggest need is financial support for spay/neuter, food, and medical care. I simply cannot afford to fix and rescue all the cats in Cerro Gordo on my own — and that’s essentially what I’m trying to do right now. With everyone reaching out for help and kitten season approaching fast, I am feeling a bit panicked. I want to keep serving the cats in our community, but I truly cannot do it without donations.
Dillon and I are looking into possibly putting together a comedy event to raise funds. I’d also love to host another garage sale (if anyone has a garage I can borrow 😅).
I’m open to any and all ideas. If you have suggestions, connections, or would like to help plan something — please reach out. I’ll be making a separate post about fundraising ideas as well.
I just wanted to say hi and let you all know I haven’t forgotten about you. I’ll be catching up soon.
Thank you for sticking with me. Thank you for caring and understanding. And thank you for believing in this work. We have a lot to do — and I’m ready to keep going. 💛
Below is a picture of a cutteeee new furry face in my care.🐈⬛😂 I'll be posting about her later as well.
